A Benefit to Fight Pediatric Cancer

Who - Proceeds benefit THE FOUR DIAMONDS FUND and their fight against pediatric cancer

This past January, over 500 people danced the night away at the historic Avalon Theater in the heart of Hollywood to raise money to fight children’s cancer. The event raised over $37,000 for The Four Diamonds Fund to support their work with pediatric cancer patients and cancer research. LIGHTS CAMERA CURE WILL BE BACK AGAIN IN 2013 and with your help, we will make it bigger and better. 

This fun-filled event will be done in true Hollywood style, with a Red Carpet, Celebrities and VIP’s, live entertainment, one-of-a-kind auction items, and more. BE PART OF THE FUN AND RAISE MONEY FOR A GOOD CAUSE. PURCHASE A TICKET and dance the night away to top local bands, musical performers and a DJ - General Admission Tickets ($20 until Dec. 31, $25 after, $30 at the door) or VIP ($100, $125 at the door - includes VIP lounge with food and drinks). Look for upcoming announcements about entertainment and celebrity guests/performers.

Dancers will be an exclusive part of the event, raising money from family and friends similar to the cancer walks. Dancers get to walk the Red Carpet and have backstage access. (NOTE - There is a $25 registration fee to sign up as a Dancer which goes toward your minimum Fundraising goal of $250).

Proceeds from Lights Camera Cure benefit the Four Diamonds Fund, whose mission is to conquer pediatric cancer. The Fund finances innovative research to find a cure for childhood cancers, the leading disease-related cause of death for children in the U.S. The Fund also assists pediatric cancer patients and their families with superior care and comprehensive support. The Fund offsets the cost of treatment not covered by insurance for patients in the program and supports the medical team’s efforts.

The benefit is being sponsored by The Penn State Alumni Association Los Angeles Chapter (PSULA) in support of THON, the 46-hour dance marathon run by Penn State students and held at the school each February for the past 40 years. Last year alone, THON raised over $10 million for the Four Diamonds Fund. You can contribute to this year’s total by participating in the Hollywood Dance-a-THON.
